I echo the sentiments of a previous reviewer. Our experience with this company, and specifically Trisha Floyd, has been terrible. We hired them to prepare our 2022 taxes and the process was simple and we didn’t have any questions. 2023 taxes have been a nightmare with them.

Completely unprofessional and terrible customer service - and they’ve wasted a month of our time and theirs. Definitely do not recommend them. Turbotax has better customer service and is much less expensive.

Despite a 20% price increase this year, we chose them again to file our 2023 taxes. We have been attempting to get answers to some basic tax questions this year before we file, and according to the receptionist, they refuse to answer unless we pay an additional $250.00 hourly fee. The junior staff members we had been working with had answers like “probably” to our questions- and we wanted a firm answer given that nothing in our tax situation changed from 2022 to 2023. After emailing Trisha directly, she stated they did not return our call for more than two weeks because she planned to talk to us at church. We do know her, or anyone at this company (wouldn’t even know what they look like), and do not go to church with her. When we questioned that, she refused to acknowledge her mistake and instead sent a bill for $750.00 (the agreement was $520, which included the 20% increase this year) and stated she would not explain anything (“continue dialogue”) (including that sudden increase) until we have paid the invoice.

We absolutely love Trisha Floyd and her team at Ramos and Floyd. We started using them for both our small business and personal taxes this year and we could not be more pleased. She has taken the time to really get to know us and make sure we are getting a really clear financial picture of our business and ensuring we are doing everything correctly as well. She is very clear on how to help, and also offers a unique service that we have not seen elsewhere. We cannot say enough good things about them!

I have been coming here for several years. I had great things to say about them previously, even referred friends to them. Their process in the past was always that I meet with an accountant, explain my tax situation and I pay around $400. This year, I expected the same process but was charged over $800…. The explanation: because I asked for a consultation. No, I actually didn’t ask for it. I thought this was your process. I walk away with a bad taste in my mouth for this gross overcharge. I do not recommend using them.

I met with Trisha over 2 weeks ago, and she explained to me how much manpower they have and how knowledgeable they are. So I was confident that they will help me with my urgent needs, no problem. After providing right away the hundreds of documents and confidential information that she requested to give me a quote I still don't have a quote two weeks later. Now, I am under contract on a very expensive house in NC and over there the deposit is non refundable, so I have $40k to loose if I don't have my tax returns done very soon to obtain financing. Trisha did not return my calls for 3 days, so I tried by email and the response that she gave me was devastating. She explained to me how little my urgency matters, because they work on the 1st come 1st served basis only and she wishes me good luck to find a new CPA. Pretty much she slammed her door on me.
I really need a ton of luck to save myself after wasting so much time waiting waiting on Trisha to help me.
Luckily, I have a very good mortgage broker that is turning every stone that she can to help her customers as opposed to the stubborn attitude that I am facing here.
