Edited: This store had some issues but has since made improvements. Security is ramped up. The riff-raff and casual shoppers are mostly away elsewhere. Generally safer all around since stringent measures keep shoplifting at bay.

This store has decent food choices, nice workers, and fair prices.

I'm always prepared to have a VERY BAD experience when I walk into a chain grocery store in Denver. I was so pleasantly surprised by this one. There was an employee near the front named Christine who was incredibly friendly and helpful. Praise her! Corporate management should put her in charge of all the area stores.

I was in and out pretty quick. I asked one of the persons that worked there where the item I needed was and they sent me directly to it. No problem no hassle. Informative staff. I like that. The only reason I gave them 4 out of 5 is because of the homeless it was walking around there parking lot. No fault of King Soopers but is a big problem in Denver.

As much as I appreciate that this is convenient for me to stop at the on my way home from work, the only kindness that's been shown to me in my last five or six visits have been by the security guard. The rest of their night crew are rude as hell. They always act like it's a bother for someone to come just before closing. It's called CUSTOMER SERVICE folks!! You didn't get the memo?

5 stars for being the ABSOLUTE WORST GROCERY STORE IN DENVER. You have to be desperate to shop here and you'll regret every second of it. If you're lucky enough to not be assaulted in the parking lot, don't worry; the security guard is happy to hassle and threaten you instead.

Night and day! Whatever they're doing different keep it up! Parking lot is clear of drugs, there are actually baskets available at the doors, carts aren't strewn about the block, produce is regularly stocked, self checkout actually has enough lanes open, and I was annoyed at first by the receipt checking policy at the door, but it has really made me feel safer in this store so well worth the inconvenience. Thank you for cleaning up my neighborhood. I've been coming here for a decade and it was getting really bad. Please keep it up!

It's a shame how this company treats its' city locations as opposed to its' suburban treasures. Would love a better option but Safeway is in competition with kings to see which brand can be worse. Disgraceful business tactics, true capitalism.

I am beyond frustrated with the appalling treatment I received during my recent visit to King Soopers. I went to the store to quickly grab just two items, but what should have been a simple errand turned into an incredibly uncomfortable and hostile experience.

When I arrived, I saw the security guard, Enriche, standing in the middle of the one-way lane, harassing or hitting on another shopper. I had no choice but to maneuver my car around him in order to park. As I was getting my produce inside the store, he approached me aggressively, accusing me of almost hitting him, despite the fact that he was clearly in the wrong standing where he was.

I tried to explain that he shouldn’t have been standing in the middle of the road, but instead of resolving the situation calmly, he escalated things unnecessarily. He then threatened to deny me service, saying he was going to call the manager. I told him to go ahead, as he was clearly on some kind of power trip and trying to start a fight for no reason. I was not being disruptive or rude, yet he continued to be antagonistic, and then proceeded to threaten me with calling the police.

After I finished my shopping, I left the store, but the entire experience left a sour taste in my mouth. I’ve been a loyal King Soopers customer for over a decade, but I will never return to this location until Enriche is removed as a security guard. His unprofessionalism, hostility, and intimidation tactics are completely unacceptable and have completely ruined my opinion of this store.
