Am a regular customer from 2022 in Woolworths (metro) Prahran. On 17/10/2024, around 5 pm, I went there to buy some snacks, but nothing was there in the hot snack section. When I am exiting, the security asked me to open my bag loudly, and he wants to check now. I asked him why you want to check my bag, and he told you bag checking, bag checking. Really, it was very unpleasant for me, and people around me were smiling at me, off course they can check bags. Maybe that’s their policy but in front of other people is not acceptable in my opinion.
Made a complaint online, They lost 2 regular customers who spend more than $200/week on groceries, Hello coles!!

I find the quality of the fruit and veg to be better quality here. The location is in a great spot right near Dan Murphy’s which is convenient. Staff are friendly and helpful as well.

Today I experienced the obvious and at times blatant way Woolworths uses psychology on their customers to trick them into spending more money, you can see in the photo all the "low price" stickers which only repeat the original price listed on the products. when I questioned staff they spoke to their manager at 12:09pm who stated the prices are going to go up in the future so they are low prices. What kind of a response is this? This a sneaky tactic to get customers to spend more money. #alwayschecktheoriginalprice

Not a particularly busy Woolworths, it's easy to find and access although the entrance you walk through doesn't head straight into the Woolies, it goes through the checkouts first, so you end up bumping into people leaving. Also a lot of chuggers hang around the front of the store as well and make things annoying when they try to pester you.

they have Biscoff bisquits here, my new standard for "choice supermarket"
EDIT: wow well that was obviously originally written juuust before the entire world exploded with mad obsessive desire for Biscoffs and started crushing them into every other edible product on the market, there's even a Biscoff Vegemite now, I could be wrong but if there isn't, just give it a week, they'll do it.
