Harrison Arkansas is a town that is physically isolated from the rest of the state. It is not a town that welcomes change of any kind . If one is not white , Christian , conservative , heterosexual, and a truck driving hunting and fishing enthusiast one will not ever feel comfortable here. And the Harrison daily times newspaper is the epicenter of the strict and unwelcoming parameters. It is a right winged often hypocritical arbiter of the warped unwelcoming values that are woven deeply into the fabric of this nearly all white community. The staff is surly and prickly And if they don’t know you, they are not going to go out of their way to assist you in anyway. None of this is surprising in the least. If you have been to Harrison Arkansas, and you don’t fall into the category described above then you know exactly what I’m talking about. They all denied this because they are so warped into thinking that it’s not true. The best thing about Harrison Arkansas is saying it fade away in your rearview mirror when you drive away from it
