This is a beautiful and well cared for library with a wonderful selection of materials (including local history resources). The building, views, and campus are magical and you can see swans puttering about outside.

My children and I really used to enjoy this library. The children's sections used to be so fun. Even the teens had a place. And it was so kid and family friendly. The staff in the children's area used to be so nice. Now it's like they are miserable. No crayons. No puzzles. Nothing kid friendly. Barely any kid decor. Lacking big time. We still enjoy buying books they no longer check out but other than this it's ok for adults. But no longer like it used to be. But I guess things change.

I had a good time. They lock the restroom 10 before close time, which caused chaos. The library employee unlocked men's for one man, but refused to unlock the women's for me. That's not justice. That dumb. Libraries should be smarter than that.

Well lit, great decor, friendly staff. Nice small historical museum area inside. Large print book section needs more variety to include comedy, fantasy, and science fiction. Large print readers need more than whodunits and romance novels.

My kids and I were excited to visit the library as we are new to the area. Unfortunately, the childrens area is underwhelming and we were told to just order things through the website. This isnt the same experience as choosing a book from the shelves. They really have a limited selection here and its supposed to be the main library. We were told that they were supposed to be renovating the childrens area and that they have given no updates in the past two years. Its really such a shame.

Lakeland History & Culture Center opened up a year ago and I'm so impressed. I walked through with a Lakeland native and learned a lot about the city. This permanent collection holds such a variety of old art and medians to check out. I like to wander through museums. Definitely worth a couple hours.

Amazing library. When I was a nanny a few years back, I brought my little ones to story time every week. It was so nice- singing, dancing and of course reading. Really nice children section.
