This was the most PLEASANT trip to SSA ever. I got there at 9:30 am and was 2nd in line. Ever single person was kind. Kevin helped me at the window and he was the most helpful and gracious person. I waited awhile for a married name change and he was so helpful and kind about it. I was in and out in 45 minutes. Thank you to the staff at this location!

My representative Kevin was swift and super kind. Just a 1 minute wait time at 11 am on a Tuesday! I did pre fill out information online but the parking lot was empty. The two guards today were such a delights - real gentleman willing to help with my questions and made the experience feel safe and directed properly. Thanks everyone - your office was amazing compared to what reviews made me assume I was walking into !

Called on adoption name change the woman was friendly and congratulated me on adoption. Through conversation she was telling me what I needed to do to obtain new card - she mentioned ‘certified’ document- I stop her there and ask what do you mean certified - she laughed and said well honey if you went to court there’s a stamp somewhat condescendingly - I simply respond with I don’t work there nor do I adopt kids often, and that I was just trying to be sure I send what is needed. She went on to say she didn’t think she was being rude and I just said I’m just trying to make sure I have what I need. She then was monotone in her responses after that - I left her with thanks so much - line dead. I wasn’t rude I just needed clarification.

Round 2 - took my elderly disabled mom to seek answers on benefits - rude unfriendly clerk. Almost as if we were wasting her time even tho we sat for plenty of time waiting. Crazy, cost zero to be kind.

Showed up on a Thursday at 3pm. Met a friendly and professional security guard that helped us sign in on a computer. Took my number and waited about 5 minutes before meeting with a very nice receptionist. She walked us through the process of replacing a SS card with a lot of patience and empathy for my dad. Her smile couldn't be seen because of her mask but shown through her eyes. In and out of the building in 15 minutes. Definitely a 5 Star visit.

Beyond rude, interrupted multiple times then she hung up on me and never handled the business that we had. Nobody should be spoken down to like that. Trying to request information for procedure, she sighed loudly, refused to help, I couldn't get a word in edge-wise. She was the most condescending, unhappy person I think I've ever encountered on the phone in my life. It was a very sad experience. Instead of being mad, I just feel sorry for her. Would have been nice to be able to just speak to somebody different and have the business properly handled professionally.

I NEVER leave bad reviews, but this was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I went in to get my last name legally changed and was helped by a blonde woman. She asked for my “name change document” and when I asked for clarification, she just kept repeating that she needed the name change document. When I finally pulled out all the documents I had with me, she told me none of them would work. I mentioned that the social security website listed the documents I had as acceptable forms of identification, just just said, “ma’am, I know what I’m doing.” Not only was she incredibly unhelpful, but her tone was entirely disrespectful and condescending.

I tried calling the office to see if I needed to make an appointment but it seemed like an impossible task to get someone to answer. So, I decided to just go in. Found out is walk ins only. The officer at the entrance was very friendly. The wait was short but when I got to the window I was told one of my papers was not the right one. The person helping was very nice and I asked if I could rush home and bring it and he said of course even though I was cutting it pretty short before their closing time on a Friday. I got back to the SS office about 20 mins. before closing time and waited for a few minutes again and then got a different SS person to help. She was also very nice and the process was fast and painless.
