I never had a NY Strip before but I’ve heard amazing things about dry aged beef. I happened to see this 45 day dry aged NY Strip, when the guy said it would smell buttery I didn’t believe it but once I took it off the grill boy was he right 😮‍💨

I ended up making homemade baked Mac and cheese with this NY Strip only seasoned in olive oil, salt, and pepper. I’d give this joint a 15/10, I’m coming back a lot now 😂

I stopped by to pick up steaks for my husband and I, my first time to American Butcher, just thought I would try it was on my way to the country…. Wow… best Filet we have had in so long! We will be back, melted in our mouth, the flavor was amazing!

This is a fantastic butcher shop. We were shying away from the lamb so Calvin took a chop over to their “Beyond the Butcher” restaurant and had them grill one up. IT WAS AMAZING! It was tasty and juice and not haunted by the gaminess that comes with New Zealand lamb. We ended up buying $200 worth of lamb.

They are so accommodating. If you want specialty cuts or organs, just ask. They are eager to please.

So… great products from great farms, matched with great service. You won’t find a better butcher in North Texas.

Was just given rancid Tri tip.. I was told it was packed on Sunday. The package said it was packed on 6/11.. it is the 4th of July. The whole set up was gray meat and as a Chef I should have automatically said no to it. Last year I got a great Trip tip from them and i specifically came back for it. Never going to be a thing. Both fridges that they have in front were all grey. Mainly disappointed in myself for not using my best judgment.. but especially unprofessional on their part and the guy was very nice but he lied. Not sure why you would say Sunday and it wasn’t. That’s crazy to me.

Questionable pricing. If everything is set to be priced per pound except for a couple items, that felt misleading. Wasn’t super clear so I just spent 40 dollars on dried meat. The dill is pretty good, but Bloody Mary flavor jerky was tough.
