I’m a bit late sharing this (new mom life!), but I wanted to take a moment to share our wonderful experience with Chelsea at Chickey Little Photography.
Earlier this year, I reached out after seeing that Chelsea was looking for baby models to test out her new studio space—and I’m so glad we did. From the start, she was incredibly warm, responsive, and thoughtful. She explained exactly what she was hoping to capture for her website, helped us plan our outfits, and made the whole process feel easy and fun. My baby was about 3 months old at the time, and Chelsea made the whole experience seamless.
The studio itself is small, cozy, clean, and beautifully minimal with gorgeous natural light—perfect for intimate, timeless photos. We spent a couple of hours trying different setups, and Chelsea gently guided us while also encouraging us to share any ideas or preferences. It felt like such a relaxed and special morning.
She delivered the edited images within the promised two-week window, and we set up a Zoom session to choose our favorites. Chelsea was so accommodating with our schedule and incredibly patient as we narrowed it down—it was seriously hard to choose because the photos were stunning. Each image captured such a sweet moment in time.
If you're looking for heartfelt, beautiful family photos with your little one, I can’t recommend Chelsea enough. We’ll treasure these forever.

We’re so glad we chose Chelsea (Chickey Little Photography) for our newborn photos. Her package included in-home wardrobe planning, location scouting, hair and makeup—which was such a confidence boost for this postpartum mama—and photo selection support. We didn't have to leave the house, which felt really daunting in the first few weeks postpartum.

She's incredibly professional, detail-oriented, and captured our family—including our inquisitive cats—beautifully. She was flexible when we needed to move our shoot due to our daughter's delay in arrival and made us feel so comfortable during the shoot. We especially loved that she embraced our request for bold, vibrant colors instead of the usual beige baby vibe that's on trend at the moment. I didn't want standard swaddled sleeping baby photos and boy did she deliver. Her documentary style is exactly what I was looking for.

From the initial consultation call, which was a few weeks postpartum, Chelsea was very understanding, as a mother herself, and explained how the process would work: i.e wardrobe and style consultation, the day of the photos, choosing the photos, and wall art installation. Every detail was covered to make things easier on me: As a first time mom, who wasn’t getting a lot of sleep, having Chelsea come to the house to do the photos and another professional do my hair and makeup, as a part of the day, was a relief and one less thing I had to worry about! I also loved that Chelsea had options for clothing not just for our daughter but for me as well. Throughout the session, she was great with our daughter and was able to calm her and stayed flexible for breaks for feeding, etc. After selecting the photos, Chelsea even had someone assist with the wall art installation; thank goodness! Otherwise I know it would be awhile before we got around to putting them up!

It was an absolute dream to work with Chelsea Hickey for our recent family/ newborn photo shoot. From the moment of our first contact with her, through to the ordering appointment, Chelsea was kind, prompt and professional in all our correspondence. We were fortunate enough to try out Chelsea’s warm and inviting studio in Norwood. It is full of natural light and beautifully decorated with cozy textures and soft neutral tones, perfect for the backdrop for our photos. Chelsea is very easygoing and kind which made us feel comfortable right away, making for a very enjoyable experience, not to mention very genuine photos that actually looked like us! I opted to have my hair and makeup done by Julianne in the studio before the shoot and I was so thankful I did- she is top notch and did a beautiful job - ensuring I looked totally put together but natural and still like myself. This experience took away all the stress of getting ready and helped me feel confident going into the shoot freshly made up with my hair perfect.. which normally feels impossible when you have just had a new baby. When it came time for the shoot it all was very comfortable and nothing ever felt awkward or overly posed. She had a magic way of getting us to all look at the camera and was able to elicit real smiles from all of us at the same time which is a huge feat with toddlers! I thought our shoot went well but had no idea how well until we actually got to see the photos. Chelsea blew us away with her talent- she truly is an incredibly gifted photographer
with an eye for capturing beautiful moments, natural expressions all while getting the lighting and angles just perfect. We are so pleased with final products of our family shoot and feel so thankful to have these precious moments captured to enjoy for years and years to come!
