The remodel of Dacca Barn in Fife is perfect for our annual client event of Santa Photos and Holiday Fun. Our clients always love skipping the mall and its great as a business owner to not have to hassle with bringing everything. The staff has always been accommodating and last year when we lost the chair for Santa, they brought one out from the office and it was perfect. There is plenty of parking and lots of room for all of your fun times.

Such a nice space, we rented for our daughter's wedding reception. The staff on-site was helpful but not intrusive. We were very happy with the entire evening.

While the space was beautiful and spacious, working with the staff was nothing short of a nightmare. We are a non profit and Our original booking was done by an employee who left her position literally the day we booked with her. we were denied the booking when we went in to pay, with no explanation other than, " shes no longer with us and we cannot honor her reservations" After that confusion and disappointment we chose a different day., even though we had already mailed 100 invitations with the original event date.
We were then sent the contracts and receipts for the wrong dates (again). We were charged incorrectly twice and had to go in to the office to straighten it out.
Communication with this office is non existent, unless you happen to catch someone in the office when you call, which typically you get a Voicemail box. They do not return calls or emails and their office hours are sporadic at best, we went twice and they were closed, even though we were there withon the posted hours.
The Deposit was not returned until 8 weeks later when we called in to inquire why we hadnt received it. We got a run around that they had closed the account and thought they had sent it. The deposit returned was short $130 with no explanation. We did a walk-through with their employee after the clean-up and were still deducted money from the deposit. Our emails and calls regarding the difference in the returned deposit have gone unanswered. The entire transaction was a nightmare.
Also to note, there is no time allowed for set up or cleanup, you must provide all cleaning supplies and haul all trash. They do not allow you to even bring items into the barn until your exact time, to the minute.
In summary, sadly, we will never be doing business again with the city of Fife. The barn is gorgeous and perfect for many events, however, the staff ruined the entire experience.

Booked this venue in April for my baby shower for June 11th- all seemed to go well up until the day before the event- I realized no one had contacted me with a phone number or go to persons information for who I’d be meeting the morning of the event to set up. I tried calling just one time when I realized but the phone number provided has a voicemail that’s not taking messages. I didn’t call back, thinking I’d be fine and that since the venues through the city I’m sure someone will be there to unlock the doors since someone was supposed to set up the tables and chairs with a layout I provided…. Boy was I wrong.
The morning of my baby shower we had 5 cars and a uhaul full of things to set up for the shower and as soon as we got there the sign was down all the doors were locked and the meter was covered.. I called absolutely every number I could pull up from the barns website and city of fife and not a single person answered. I had 75 people invited, caterers, decorators, people driving from over an hour away all be turned away due to the venues mishap.
My one and only baby shower I was supposed to have and spent months planning was all ruined thanks to Dacca barns staff.
Several hours later I get an email stating the person in charge of opening the hall was involved in an accident- but I don’t believe it since no one communicated with me the week of the booking with a contact persons information and the sign for the venue being taken down. But if an accident really did occur, I do feel bad but at the same time you can’t leave one person solely in charge without providing a number for after hours assistance given it was a weekend.

After several hours I responded back to the email requesting a refund and to be compensated for the mishap only to receive an email with just a transaction showed a refund was issued of the incorrect amount..

I’m extremely frustrated that such a special event for me was ruined, but more irritated at how it’s been handled after the fact.

I will give it until Thursday to get everything corrected and refunded to me before contacting someone else to get it taken care of.

Such a cute little place to hold an event. We just hosted our engagement party and Julie and Jason were awesome! They both were very helpful and so easy to work with. Honestly you get a lot of value for the space. Its inexpensive to rent so you can invest more in food, booze, and decor. Not to mention there is PLENTY of parking. It was also a plus that it was only a 5 minute drive from our home.

The place itself was beautiful. But I was told that I would receive my deposit 4-5 weeks after my event. My event was on March 26, 2022 and it is now May 21st. That is well over 7-8 weeks of waiting on a deposit. When I emailed them (May 9th) they gave me the run around and it took them a day to tell me that the supervisor misplaced the paper work and that they would send me my deposit within the next week. It’s been almost two weeks since I last heard from them and guess what, still no deposit. It’s frustrating and super unprofessional. How are you going to be so quick to take peoples deposit but then take forever to return it I will not be doing business with the city of Fife ever again!! Unfortunate because the Barn was beautiful and had great qualities to it that would make me come back, but I’m not dealing with this “misplaced” paper work bs ever again!! And that’s why they get 3 starts from me!

Recently held a Styled Wedding shoot event at the Dacca Barn and it turned out lovely. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the space was warm and spacious. Overall a great experience !

What a perfect place to get married! Super friendly staff, who was there for us when our original wedding date was cancelled due to COVID. I highly recommend them as your next event location!
