I worked with Ben briefly. At first, he seemed okay, so I told him about the roach infestation in my Franklin Park apartment. Then, maintenance botched a job trying to fix the problem, and when I called Ben crying, he hung up on me. He denied it, even though I had a text message. His boss was useless, claiming I never answered the door – a complete lie. This whole thing was incredibly unprofessional. The Denver Health Department closed my active case, even though this building has had roaches since 2020! Ben knew this. He yelled at me, saying to "stick to the facts," while ignoring the fact that I'm dealing with roaches in my *home*. I keep my place spotless, and I'm a Section 8 tenant. Then he dismissed years' worth of photos as "not good enough," telling me to use a different app. Google Photos timestamps everything! It's clear the Denver Health Department lied; they closed my case despite the ongoing infestation, which now includes bed bugs. I'm not even bothering to call them again. They're incompetent and clearly don't care about people with disabilities, especially women. I'm disgusted. They don't care about tenants, they expect robotic behavior, then lie and blame you. I've spent my own money trying to fix this. Don't waste your time with the Denver Health Department. They'll just shut you down if you dare show any emotion. They are a joke. It's clear they cover for each other. I lost all faith in all health departments I don't know why anybody is scared of them because they're harmless. Worthless..

I called 12-23 to report that there is no heat at 48th st women's shelter and it's 15 below 0 outside. I waited on hold for 10 minutes listening to music. A women's voice came on and said if your not going to speak I'm going to hang up. If I was paying rent it would be illegal to not give me heat.
