It's handy and local and is better since it's changed hands and had a spruce up. I'd say it's a bit overpriced and they stock some common items. Bonus points though for the fact they are open on most public holidays - saved me on several occasions I've forgotten the shops are closed.

Place is ok in North Melbourne, they have a small assortment is products, plus the black gold local brand.

There's an IGA around the corner, and an woolworths about 1km down the road

As a long term resident of West/North Melbourne I will say this.
I think this supermarket is great.
Maybe if as customers we would remember that the English language apart from the Chinese is hardest to learn.
The Australasia countries should be more supportive of these most industrious people.
Being an Aboriginal woman of Australia,
I will say good on you.
And bless.

It's either this, or the IGA around the corner...
Both have undergone revamps and looking spiffy.

Very rude staff- one male staff member followed me around the store in a not so covert attempt at surveillance- which actually didn't worry me as much as his attitude. I tried to communicate with him the product I wanted and was faced with an extremely rude and disrespectful response "what do you want?"...etc, he was almost beginning to sound violent. Appreciate his English was not great, however, common courtesy should always prevail.

Very disappointed in customer service.
Called up to ask if they stock certain product to avoid going to the store unnecessarily due to Covid-19. (I saw the products a few months back but I wasn’t sure if they still stock them).
The person who answered the phone told me “you can come to the store and look around yourself” and before I could even fit another word in, he hanged up on me. I understand that you may be busy but I was just after one specific product and it would have taken a couple of minutes to check....

My local supermarket, not much fresh selection but I like the people that run it, they're lovely and the back section with odds and ends I like - candles, incense, paintbrushes, woks etc...Less croweded than IGA and some good specials if you know where to find them:)
