Gwinnett County recorders court is where most ticket offenses are taken care of. Been here a few times for traffic violations back in 2011 - 2014. I had the money back then so I paid the fine & never bothered to show up to court. But in this tough time recession 2025, hell I would attend court for any traffic violations & ask for community service to pay off any ticket. Hourly wage in a core labor work is a week’s pay for a minor traffic violation. No state in the USA will pay any middle class the wage to match the economy. Besides my license is suspended for two years but I can get a permit to drive back and forth to work, college, & whatever crap I have to do for the courts. I’m literally spending 1/3 of months paycheck towards car insurance that doesn’t even live up to their promises. Over $1,000 worth of bs car note plus bs car insurance company vs. an $80 monthly bus pass & public transportation. Yeah, I rather take public transportation & travel the world with the money I get to keep by not owning a car. Besides half of the car accidents that occur is the city of mayors’ fault, from defective traffic lights & traffic cameras, & improper construction of new traffic lanes. Car accidents occurs daily in the brand new street lanes where I reside so car insurance every month keeps going up. Not a single day for the past 5 years was the street of Lawrenceville was free from police cars, emergency vehicles, or fire trucks because of car accidents.

Waste of time. No real time to negotiate or ask questions. Interpreters not available. Simple things like expired tags should get dismissed even before court date, as other states allow if you can show proof updated. $45 wastes everyone’s day/time/court resources.

Rude judge- Wesley G. Person.
Legally looting with "speeding tickets" and are unwilling to talk/negotiate.. 60 on 45 and gave me a lecture on economics and how to speak publicly and how my driving impacts his insurance lol

Worst part is you can't even talk back to them even after being right.

The racism I just experienced today by Judge Jennifer Armstrong just hit me to the ore. Very painful. Why did the 3 people called before me with the exact same offense as I get a reduction in their ticket but me? The reason for the ticket was a mistake made by the insurance company. I wasn't even asked if the problem had been taken care off like the other people. By the way, the problem was resolved that same day. I even canceled clinic, seeing patients, to take care of it. I'm hurt

January second I come to court with respect to the court and the judge, this is my first time to court, but I feel very disappointed. I don't want to define a person by the color of his skin, but I deeply feel the discrimination brought by the color of his skin. If it happens in life, I will forget it, but I think the court is at least a fair and just place when it is my turn to appear in court .The judge will give people a chance to explain why and how to pay the fine but in my case, he refused to give me a chance to explain my situation. My sister had a heart attack and she was at home with her one-year-old child. Of course, I know speeding is wrong, but I am very worried. I want to ask the judge what would you do if the same situation happened to you? I will continue to complain until I am treated as a racist who gives voice to all people of your skin color.
