Normally I love coming here but I came here with my kids today) while other kids were there) and every time they were playing with toys in the kids section they were walking behind all the kids while they were still playing and cleaning up behind them 24/7 and when I told the kids we’d go somewhere they can actually go be kids, the two librarians were talking about how much they “like nice people and hate mean people and hate when people don’t clean up after their kids”. Well if they would actually sit for a minute and not micromanage literal children playing in the children’s play area, the parents would have a chance to actually clean up after their children on their own before they leave. Every single time we come I always clean up after the children. Every. Single. Time. Now it’s to the point where my kids no longer want to go to the local library because of the two librarians. They even went so far as to discipline my children in front of me. That is in no way ok. They weren’t hurting anyone, hurting themselves, being excessively noisy, or breaking anything. If we do go back. It’ll be to only go when good librarians are working. Not women who act like clean freak teenagers

This is not run as a gentle place to read that many of us grew up with. Voices often carry from the front desk to all corners and children's activities are often not held behind closed doors. The small study groups never bothered me. I just don't want to go back there
