We did ice climbing on exit glacier and it was an incredible experience! What an exhilarating feeling it was to reach the top of an ice wall and look back over the beautiful glacier. Brandon was our guide and made the experience very memorable! He was knowledgeable, intentional, patient, kept us safe, and ensured we had a great time! We highly recommend ice climbing with Kenai Backcountry Adventures to all the adventurous folks out there! Plus, it’s an all inclusive experience where you get to do a gorgeous hike, walk across the glacier, and then climb up using ice picks and crampons (shoe spikes). We felt very safe the whole time with our experienced guide and trusty belay partner! We can’t wait to be back and book another adventure.

I can't recommend Kenai Backyard Adventures enough. We had Al as our guide, and they were so personable and incredibly knowledgeable about the environment and its animals. The hike was a perfect amount of exercise and sight seeing. I really appreciate the amount of care this company has taken to ensure everyone enjoys their experiences as they have hired fantastic guides. We had a great rafting trip! A few of the things that we loved about working with Kenai was the communication, flexibility and the friendliness of the staff! I had a lot of questions before I booked and we went back-and-forth between several excursions. You guys were so patient with me and really explored our options and what was the best fit. Cohen was outstanding on the rafting trip! I highly recommend this! I also got to meet the guides that were doing the glacier hike and if we were in better shape, we would’ve totally love to do that as well. Everyone there was so friendly and welcoming! Such a great company!

Really incredible experience! My mom and I booked a white water raft excursion and we were paired with Cohen as our guide. Cohen was incredibly knowledgeable and had us laughing the entire trip, despite having to get out of the raft a few times due to dry beds. We were specifically intrigued learning about the glacier monkeys, wow! Our experience was great from start to finish, thanks to Cohen (and shoutout to David too)!

We booked the Rafting Resurrection River last minute and we had so much fun. It was just me and my mother and our guide Brandon was amazing! He is very friendly, knowledgable, and funny! He even brings hot chocolate. If we ever find ourselves back in Alaska we will absolutely be back to book another excursion with him!

Our Exit Glacier hike was the most amazing thing we’ve ever experienced! Our guide Brandon was super friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we were all safe and comfortable during our hike. The scale and the beauty of the glacier and all its surroundings was just breathtaking. Don’t hesitate if you’re thinking about giving this a go!

This trip was incredible!! Although it was a challenge, our amazing guides Al and Cohen did everything in their power to help us in any way they could. We traveled with our family including our 80 year old grandfather who struggled with the up and down hills on the trail. Cohen and Al helped him down the entire way with encouraging words and lots of nutrition. They came very prepared and were able to cater to our every need. The trail was beautiful and a challenging but super fun and rewarding experience. Hiking on exit glacier was beautiful and breathtaking! 10/10 recommend!
