Unfortunately my experience working with Klugonyx was very disappointing. I had invented a stellar product that solved a big problem and even though I had experience successfully creating and launching my own products, my plate was pretty full and I was excited to hire someone to share the workload. After seeing their five-star reviews I was optimistic, especially since I had already done a lot of the groundwork which including a produced design that I was successfully using in my home.

Our first meeting seemed promising, and their team assured me that we wouldn't need to spend much time in the initial phase. However, after signing the contract, they quickly suggested redesigning my product, which I was initially open to, despite being happy with my original design. Unfortunately, their hourly charges added up quickly, and when I blind surveyed my customers on the additional designs, my customers unanimously preferred my original design. This left me frustrated, feeling like we just wasted a lot of time and money on trying to fix what wasn’t broken. It benefited them financially, but was a lose-lose for me.

Phase one dragged on for nine months, and communication became increasingly slow and frustrating. It felt that our project was no longer a priority, and after paying thousands of dollars without seeing a final design, I lost all trust and confidence in Klugonyx. When I learned that at some point the engineer working on my design had left the company, it further complicated matters. The prospect of an additional $4,000 monthly fee for the next phase made it clear that I needed to cut my losses.

In retrospect, I realized I would have been better off managing everything myself. I also discovered another negative review that mirrored my experience, but it seems that such reviews tend to disappear, leaving only positive ones. I hope my review helps others avoid the same pitfalls I faced.
