Very chill atmosphere. Had a good meal by myself. Their Penicillin cocktail was very good and service was spot on. A tad expensive but worth it for a treat. Do not skip the bakery if you go here. It would be worth going just for their pastries and not sitting down to eat.

My NYC friends recommended visiting Lafayette to try out their round croissants and I duly obliged. Lafayette is a cafe/restaurant and bakery in one place (entrance is same). Either you can visit the cafe/restaurant for a proper meal or you can just walk into the bakery side of the place and do a takeaway of multiple delicacies.

I had gone with the sole intention of trying out their bakery’s croissants. Ended up having the Pistachio and Chocolate croissants. The Pistachio one is bloody brilliant and I’d definitely recommend folks to order/try that. Also did a takeaway of their Yuzu White Chocolate Eclair which was also quite nice.

Would 200% recommend visiting the bakery to try out their famous round croissants.

Went here to get their supreme croissants with my wife and my sister-in-law. Decided to have lunch here. The food were excellent, but the service was below par. Our server didn't seem happy taking care of us. She said that she was going to bring us bread with butter, which never happened. The patrons next to us, who came after us, got theirs. Then, another server took over. When it was time to pay our bill, he took our card, then proceeded to take order from 10 people before swiping our card that we had to wait for a long time just to pay our bill. The supreme croissants were pretty good and a must-have.

I give 5 stars to the bakery. Nice and friendly staff, no wait, quick service.
The restaurant can do better. We had a reservation for a specific time, told us to wait a bit, saw how people after me got seated after a minute wait while I was waiting for more than 30 mins, gave me a wobbly table and again waited for 10 more minutes after that before getting a server.
I understand this engagement if I didn’t have a reservation, but I had one.
The pistachio croissant is amazing, the martini expresso croissant is supreme for chocolate and coffee lovers.
Coffee is from a machine, not really from a barista.

Will not come back for the restaurant, but the bakery is recommended.

We visited to get their viral supreme croissants and were not disappointed with the choice. The croissants were fresh and crispy. Very generous with the filling unlike other places and reasonably priced! We also tried the savoury turkey and arugula croissant which was delicious. The selection was very wide and it everything looked so delicious! Great and quick service too!

After hearing so much about Lafayette Grand Café & Bakery, we finally decided to visit last Saturday morning. We arrived right at 8 AM and were pleasantly surprised to find no queue—likely because of the rainy early morning—and were the first ones to enter.

We tried three of their famous croissants: Pistachio Supreme, Supreme de Noël, and Chocolate Supreme. The croissants had impeccable layering, but the taste didn’t quite live up to the hype for us. The filling was overly creamy, which overpowered the overall flavors.

We also tried their coffee, which turned out to be the highlight of our visit—absolutely delicious and perfectly brewed!

The total cost for the three croissants came to about $32 (with tax). While it didn’t feel worth the long wait Lafayette is known for, we’re glad we didn’t have to wait that day. It’s a charming spot, and we’d love to explore more of their menu next time.

Sharing some captures from our visit!

One of my mandatory stops on my 30 hour day trip to New York had to be Lafayette Bakery! These French pastries are exquisite! 🤤 Got the pistachio croissant supreme and oh my god it is AMAZING! If you love pistachio this is a must! The croissant was light and fluffy and the inside pistachio cream was so so so good! 100% worth the money your taste buds will thank you later

We reserved a table days in advance and stopped by in person two days before to request a window table for a special brunch with a visiting friend and her 4-year-old daughter. They confirmed the request. However, when we arrived, the hostess was rude, questioning us about who had promised the table. After an uncomfortable exchange, they eventually seated us elsewhere. While the service and food were good, and we enjoy bringing out-of-town guests for the atmosphere, attention to detail seems to be lacking.
