I got royally screwed and unfortunately am now unemployed as a result of what happened with The Mice Groups, which is unfortunate and unprofessional...
I interviewed for a role and was contacted the following week by The Mice Group letting me know I was offered the position. The Mice Group asked me if I wanted to start the new job on 6/7 or 6/14. A couple days passed and let them know the 15th would work best, by the time I signed the offer letter and let my employer know, the 15th made the most sense. I received an offer letter from The Mice Group on 6/1, signed and returned it on 6/3, with a 6/15 start date as noted in the offer letter. On 6/8 I was told that my start date may be pushed out but they would let me know by that Friday, 6/11. I never received a call on 6/11, just a sign of the the kind of professionalism you'll get with The Mice Group...
On Monday the 14th, I asked for an update and was told they still did not have one for me but they were working on it. Needless to say, I did not begin the job on the 15th. Instead, I was told they wanted me to interview again with someone else. Yes, this is all after I accepted an offer and signed an offer letter ...yes, to start on June 15th. On 6/23, I spoke with someone else at said employer, which I'll leave out here. I was told this would be more of a conversation than an interview, which was NOT the case. The person I spoke with did not even know I was given an offer letter, in fact, he laughed and said I should "take it up with The Mice Group", real nice. I was informed a couple days later that I would not be proceeding with employment and did not have the job. Yea, the job I signed the offer letter for. Such a great feeling.
So, I gave my employer notice and now am out of work. Thank you to The Mice Group for facilitating such a great situation for me. I would NOT recommend working with The Mice Group. Oh, to add insult to injury, when calling for my references they disclosed the position I "was being considered for", after I signed the offer letter, and then tried to poach their services to my references. Super professional.
