My Mac has been my standard go-to for Apple Service Repairs and replacements for the last eight years, as it's the most accessible location in the city. I must admit, over the years I've had a mixed quality of service experience - it very much depended on who I got looking after my issue, as to whether the experience was a positive one, or a nightmare to manage. But my most recent experience was excellent, and deserves acknowledgement.

My iPhone 12 had a battery and screen replacement performed at this store in early 2024. This week, the phone screen glitched without apparent reason or damage (I was lying in bed using it, it wasn't dropped, it had a case and screen protector installed, no evidence of dents or water damage). Given I didn't get to the store until 4pm, I wasn't expecting it to be repaired until the following morning.

Jay, Kobe & Lulu took my issue really seriously, and swiftly moved to process the repair immediately. I was incredibly impressed that it was approved by Apple, repaired under Service Warranty, and completed by 5pm that same day! Thank you to the team, especially the two technicians who worked on my phone together, for moving quickly and restoring peace to my otherwise very messy day. Bravo! 🙂

Jay, Jon & the team are amazing. I had a complex situation with my laptop and they were outstanding. They talked me through the various models available to suit my needs and set it up/transferred the data so all i had to do was pick it up. They were extremely flexible too and provided excellent customer service. Can't rate this team highly enough!

absolutely lovely experience in this store today! i was helped by a man named dean i believe and he was fantastic, i was having issues resetting an old macbook and was running into numerous issues, he spent a good chunk of 3 hours almost helping me on and off through a very busy period in the store, i was very grateful especially since this was all done free of charge so it saved me sending the product in and loosing money

Paid $820 to have the back and camera lenses replaced on my iphone 13. 7 months later, it got wet (not deep water or submerged) and water got in.

Took it back to Mymac who could see all the parts were legitimately replace by them previously. Their response: ‘There is too much water in it, Apple will most likely reject it. We wont repair it.’

So I paid $820, you were the last (and only) place to reseal it, and you want me to go elsewhere, while you wear no responsibility or even try to help. Didn’t even consider the possibility they didn’t seal it correctly in the first place (which is really the only probably cause)

Looked me straight in the eye, and told me I can try going to Apple direct, but they will most likely say the same. Mind you, the phone is in great condition - always in a case.

Zero care. Zero responsibility.

So much for going to an authorised repair centre.

*Who mentioned a hot tub? Goes to show how much your staff actually listen. Ironically, I asked to speak to your store manager who wasn’t there, but you appear to have time to respond to a review, as opposed to contacting your customers.

It says a lot about your approach to customer service.

I’m not a big google reviewer but just wanted to say I bought in my MacBook Air to be repaired expecting the worst (out of warranty and water damage). Jon did a diagnostic and sent me through a quote. He very patiently answered all my questions by email to explain the repairs needed and why. Was able to avoid some major repairs/replacements in the end based on what I needed the laptop for and I really appreciated that it wasn’t done for the sake of it/the price. Thanks so much you deserve the stars!!!

Last week, I had issue with my iphone14 PRO. I took it to My Mac Flinders Street store for service. Jay the technician/sale person was there to assist me. Jay is very friendly and helpful and was able to provide me the repair services. I didn't expect Apple was able to repair my phone so promptly. I got it back within 3 business days! Very efficient and professional service provided.

The service received from Jay was excellent for our recent purchase of a new iPhone 15. He was attentive to our concerns via phone call initially and then when we visited in store. He explained the setup process and assisted us to ensure all devices would align. A very satisfying experience.

It seems they deleted my review when I wrote in my review that they charged me more than they quoted me the other day. They are the worst shop I have ever dealt with. I was told that it would take two hours to charge the battery. I will of course report it further to Apple.
Despite me showing the quoted price right in front of the staff, the staff said it was irrelevant as it was the quoted price.
If you need repairs, there are no shops in the CBD. You will need to go to another shop, such as Chadstone. To the person who said in the review below that the product cannot be returned. If you bought a product with a wrong description, you should be able to return it. You should contact the ACCC immediately, the ACCC is the body that protects consumers. You should go to the shop immediately within the cooling-off period to complete the returns procedure.

Go up
