Just curious...why was it demolished? Seriously, why not just gut it and save a year? Everybody Loves the Publix subs and the deli. Somehow this brand new publix made both of these departments much smaller and make things take much longer. The college side 4255 we were forced to go to is Way Better. I'm glad this new 81 Alafaya has so much more space for vegetables and fruit, it was incredibly chaotic before. Customer service and employees are great, no problem there....But what changed in the store besides a different layout and self-checkout? Why did that take a year and a half? It's like they had a plan and corporate changed it a year later to textbook same of other new stores, but worse from original that was already here. Maybe it saves on the electric bill or something, but it doesn't help the customers, that's for sure. No weight scale, no new liquor store, bigger bakery than deli even though nobody is ever at the bakery. Thank goodness I can bag my own groceries now while I talk to a polite employee who watches me so I don't steal.
Good job Publix! Keep other stores the way they are, don't remodel any more!

Ya know the community waited a whole year for this Publix to reopen and you’d think after having a year you’d hire competent employees. Twice now I have waited over 20 minutes for a sub. You’ve got plenty of people back there but ZERO sense of urgency. Even had 3 managers walk by, not step in to help out, nothing. 20 minutes and the kid making the subs only managed to make three 6 inch subs! Do better Publix, this is not the service you’ve built your name on! I’ll go back to the one on Lockwood.

Our favorite local Publix in Oviedo. Everyone here is so polite and helpful. Wait isn’t too long in the lines. Deli can be pre-ordered which is a big time saver. I love that we can order our lunch - subs - online and it’s conveniently ready for pick up. We always get our family birthday cakes from here, great place to grab plants or flowers, and or balloons!

The deli at this location is ran terribly. The person making my food will stop making it half way through, then make someone else's order then stop making their order, and make sandwiches to put out in the case. The line here is always a long wait because of this

Thank goodness Publix for selling chicken hearts and premium grade imitation crab meat for me to cook my kids' favorite soup. I am going to try to make homemade salsa with the canned crushed tomato that's on sale for the buy 1 get 1 free deal.

Not sure why chicken costs so much here. Can't give a five stars because fish is not of good quality and the raw oysters are dead.

Since the store has reopened after the remodel, the customer service has gone downhill, specifically in the deli department. The deli, sub and hot case department is consistently understaffed or the employees are not trained. No one seems to know what to do, or they walk around aimlessly. Hot food items that should be ready for lunch or dinner time, are never available, and will be “ready in about 25 minutes.” It takes a long time to get the sliced deli meat and the online orders are always messed up or missing. We’ll be going back to the Publix we used during the remodel, even though it’s out of the way.

This is a brand-new Publix, built over the old one that was torn down in 2023. Great store, but not great prices. Still, they’ve got an excellent selection of stuff.

I can't believe we had to wait over a year for this. The store has basically the same layout before. It has much more space, but contains much less of a selection. Items I bought here before I can no longer find. With this space, couldn't they have given us something useful like a salad bar. Fun fact, the store they opened in my hometown in January that's the same size has one. The difference is they have competition there. Wouldn't it be nice if I could go in this new store and have the amenities I had in a grocery store over 30 years ago, instead of getting a new store that like one I was shopping in 40 years ago.
