Been eating Pub subs for lunch for years. Recently my office moved here and I started coming with no complaints. Three days ago I got very sick and suspected it was from here but didn’t think much of it. Today I came back and the rudest sandwich bar person (very big and overweight guy). I could tell from the moment he called “next” this guy did not like me for some reason. You know how Miami is… Lol. Decided to deny my request and do it with attitude.

I know what I eat and that it can be done. I’ve been eating at Publix for years with zero issues. It wasn’t a Publix issue. It was a customer service issue. Manager was called. Manager didn’t give a damn.

I’ll be giving my money on a daily basis somewhere where they appreciate it. Worst Publix you’ll see by far. Deli tables are stinking too. But given how nonchalant the manager was, not surprising.

Public claims “shopping is a pleasure”. Unfortunately that is NOT the case with this location. It’s evident staff are not a cohesive team; particularly in the deli/hot food area.

We experienced team members bickering amongst one another. We save younger employee was arguing with an older employee as she simply inquired about the food they were prepping in an attempt to assist my family and the other family there; talk about respecting your elders. Two other customers as well as my family experienced the lady who was prepping chicken repeatedly staring, being agitated and talking towards customers. I even asked one team member how long it would be for a specific type of chicken she said 30 minutes, the agitated and argumentative employee said 45 minutes. At this point I’ve spoken to three employees about the same thing.

It’s apparent these individuals are in immediate need of retraining and BASIC customer service etiquette and time management. We stood at the counter for over 10 minutes and there was only two sets of families there. In fact, there were more employees walking around behind the counter than customers.

If you need to shop at Publix save yourself the time and headache, go elsewhere. It’s unfortunate are how subpar this location is.

Place is nice clean and with security on site, which makes sense based on the smell of the parking lot! Would i go back? Alone, I wouldn't care, but with my family deff not!
Now, even tho I said I wouldn't bring my family here, I rated a 5 stars because the people that frequent this place should not be the reason for a low rating.

Typical Publix, happy employees, food is a bit more expensive than say Winn Dixie, however the quality of produce and other items reflect the pricing model.
Great deli, good freshly made sandwiches and hot soups plus hot deli items like chicken and pulled pork.

Workers are always super friendly all of them, from the cart people outside to the cashier to people working the aisles. When I have spoken with them they all have been so friendly sounding and courteous.

First and last, I experienced something that in my 65 yrs of living never was treated like with racism, like I was standing in line and the lady at the counter called the person that was behind me instead of serving me, I asked why was that so and her answer was a total racism like expression, like if you don't like it leave the store, this young lady was black and I am Spanish American Puerto Rican so I felt like I was being targeted because of my looks, I called a manager and explained what had just happened and she totally ignored me. So my friends I will never go back to that store, because I felt so humiliated and I though we spanish and blacks were cool, but that really shocked me.never go there again problem solved. I didn't think black Americans were racist well I was wrong.

The soup station did not have any spoons. I checked with the deli department and the young lady said they did not have any spoons but they had forks. Who eats SOUP with a fork. There was also an employee who was near the soup station. I asked her the same question. Her response was that's not my department. And oh btw there were no forks at the soup station either. No purchase of soup for me since I was not headed home for a spoon. Publix you need to do better to make this experience a shopping pleasure.
