I got hired and completed all my training and videos everything they needed me to do. I passed the drug test and all the other testing I in order to work on the floor. I was working in the deli. I was working there for about a good month when an unfortunate event happened pertaining to my child falling off a swing set which required me to call off for my shift that day. My shift started at 2:00 pm. I called off around 10:30 am that morning when I got the call from my child’s school. This was my first call out and I was told I was good. So around 5:00 that day I received a call one of the store managers Moses who is actually the one to hire me. And he then proceeded to tell me that due to my background I was unfortunately going to have to be let go. After I worked there for a month. And what was on my background is almost from 7 years ago and had nothing to do with the position I was working at here. I feel like because I called out I was let go. I had been working there a month if my background was an issue I shouldn’t have been hired in the first place. I was highly disappointed and have been out of work for the past 2 months because of this. Complete waste of time. I also feel like this company shows favoritism to certain employees.

So I am new here to Orlando area and I went to Publix in Maitland and I was amazed by the customer service that I received by the assistant customer service manager named Kayla. She helped me with my coupons and helped me with rain checks. Nothing better than someone who helps without asking. Very professional, curious, and intelligent with her descriptions of products. Should promote and excel. Thank you.

This Publix at this very exact location is not as friendly as other ones. I went in there to buy a pack of toilet paper so I went to the customer service desk and this one lady by the name of (Kayla ) was super rude and seemed to be very RACIST towards me ! She scanned my item and didn’t even say “have a good day “ or anything around those lines. I feel they shouldn’t have that type of people like herself working at a front of the store if she lacks friendliness and politeness .

Selection is alright except don’t seem to be carrying Meow Mix wet food anymore and it’s all Purina brand which isn’t good. I believe I’ve asked twice for possibly more handicap parking as I’ll be frank - there’s a lot of older people - but I’m younger and handicap. The 4 spots go quick and I get to hobble to the store. The less walking for me the better seeing as I have to go up and down the aisles, too. Hasn’t been done and likely won’t happen as it’s been months.

Customer Service Support desk workers are an absolute delight. Constantly run into this store just for a money order and have only had an incredible experience.
