I will admit upfront, we were very challenging clients for Seiler Home Group. We had a long list of requirements, including some fairly unusual ones; we did not want to be rushed into a decision; and we were prepared to (and did) walk if our conditions for a purchase weren't met. We were willing to consider houses and vacant property that needed substantial work, too, so some of the listings we looked at were quite unusual.

We came very close to closing on one property right away, only to walk away at the last minute when the owner made unreasonable demands we weren't willing to accommodate. Melanie fought our corner, but didn't try to make us stick with the deal when the terms were untenable.

For the second offer we made, there ended up being something like 8 addendum in total, as we had to negotiate through challenges like getting a well and new roofs, then being unable to get the well after drilling, appliances breaking down between the offer and the walk through, and half a dozen other minor issues. At the end of the day, I think both buyer and seller were satisfied, and we got a house that ticks all the blocks of my exhaustive list, at a price we can afford and that compensates us adequately for taking on some additional work.

Melanie was an excellent realtor - personable, professional, and a ruthless negotiator. I would recommend her to other buyers *or* sellers.
