Avoid at all costs as they will lose your inventory and overcharge you with convoluted invoice layouts. This company is anything but "ShipCalm", it's more like 'ShipAnxiety" because they are very scammy with their business tactics.

Will cause loss of revenue! Horrible communication, receiving errors, shipping errors you name it. Everything you don’t want in a 3PL provider. Full of sales people selling you on promises and services that never become reality. Lies on receiving time lies on shipping times all lies. Look at their original Carlsbad location reviews for reference.

Ever since they bought River Source location it went downhill. Storage rate went up 53% without any notice overnight. At the end of the year the warehouse ended up with a loss of high selling inventory value over $45K. Reporting is a mess. Pricing is unclear and outrageous. Looks like an impudent setup.

Don't be fooled by the previous reviews. They were written prior to Shipcalm acquiring River Source Logistics. Shipcalm is a complete s h i t show from start to finish. Do not let Brandon in sales convince you otherwise or anybody on their team for that matter. Over promises, over billing, and lack of accountability from the floor up to the CEO, Greg. Been in supply chain for 10 years and I was completely duped. Don't make the same mistake we did. A joke of a 3PL.

There is too much to even type out in a review but Shipcalm would have RUINED my business had I not made an exit plan within weeks of being there. Their sales rep, Brandon, went OVER THE TOP to sell us essentially a bullshit operation full of bullshit fake promises. Let me be super clear, they know this review is coming, it couldn’t possibly be a shock to ANYONE after the hundreds of slacks, hours spent on the phone and urgent emails back and forth. They continued to drop the ball on literally every aspect of logistics and partner fulfillment. They lost hundreds of packages, blamed tech and made massive costly human mistakes that ultimately cost my business over $50,000 by the time we had to leave A WEEK before Black Friday. If you own a small business and hear it was more risky to STAY at Shipcalm than make a transition to a new 3pl before the biggest week of the year with over 700 SKUS you can assume how truly diar it was. The final straw was having to deal with the CEO Greg (but everyone in the reviews has a different idea of who the CEO is). At first he was there to “stabilize” the business but quickly turned condescending, defensive and unprofessional. I couldn’t stomach paying them another scent. Whatever you do…do NOT trust them with your business. Biggest mistake I have made in the 2 years of scaling my 7 figure d2c brand. Oh and don’t even get me started on billing…I was grossly over billed on every single invoice. I have the emails, screenshots and slacks to prove how AWFUL this was. Please take this review seriously and pick a different partner.

The original good review pertained to River Source Logistics. They were acquired by ShipCalm and below is my updated review as it pertains to SHIPCALM.

We’ve had an extremely frustrating experience so far with ShipCalm. Since they acquired our previous warehouse (River Source Logistics), the level of service has drastically declined despite the fees quadrupling . Within a short period of time, they lost over $1,000 worth of our inventory the week it needed to be sent in for Black Friday. This happened back in October, and despite numerous calls, voicemails, and follow-ups, there has been no resolution.

The communication has been terrible — voicemails go unanswered, and our emails are ignored. In reading other reviews re: the same issue, there is very little accountability taken.

I cannot recommend ShipCalm to any business that values reliability and proper communication.

I'm updating my review as we've been utilizing River Source Logistics for over a year now. They are simply amazing. The organization and operating procedures are top notch. And the customer service is above and beyond. If you're looking for a 3PL solution, you can't go wrong with them. We recently had an LTL shipment in which some paperwork needed to be corrected. They were able to hold the driver, catch the error and get everything squared away so our critical LTL outbound could be shipped without delay. It's that kind of above and beyond service that is really hard to find these days and they provide it every step of the way.

This 3PL is fantastic. I have used many 3PLs over the years, and 3PL is way better than all of them. Great communication, super fast responses to questions, very professional, great online portal, 100% accuracy. So glad I found RSL.
