Sad when 1pm still no sight of a plow. You all need to be ashamed. I've seen worse storms than this and the city did a better job. All these cry babies in charge. Whine about everything. Even their good paying jobs but don't want to do the work.

Skipped pile of leaves. Plow my street like 2 - 3 times a year. One year placed the street's snow on my lawn in a huge mound like you see in a parking lot. Took out part of my landscaping because the truck ran 10ft into my yard. Damaged several trees by pushing snow up against them. Call to correct, and if you talk with supervisor or superintendent they act like you are in the wrong and they are doing you a favor. Feels like retaliation for saying something.

The snow plow driver for my surrounding streets shouldn’t have put the plow down tonight. Driver allowed the plow to literlly bounce off of the street of Velasko and all the surrounds streets. Sounded like fireworks were going off for hours. Not sure if he’s new but this is unacceptable.

This morning the individual plowing the sidewalk on Plymouth Drive in Eastwood could not get passed a vehicle parked across the sidewalk, so he drove over the lawn on the City side of the walk on top of my sewer vent.

Impressed With the Yard Waste Crew

I trimmed my shrubs on the day, after local yard waste was removed. I called Cityline to ask if there a way I can drop off the yard waste myself.
I was told that I can on Canal Street. I took the waste to the Canal Street office, only to find that it is currently closed. Hoping to see a human, a worker advised me to carry it across the drive, but I'm deaf, I didn't understand all of what he said. I was hoping I could drop the waste in an area where some garbage bins were sitting. A bearded employee saw me (I've seen him before, on trucks), and guided me to where the drop off site is located. In spite of the beard, his speech was easy to read. Perfect, I can trim any time the DPW yard waste location is open.

Today, I my phone fell in the drain on the side of the road. While I wasn't hysterical, I did feel defeated. This is not how I saw the day going. But the Department of Public Works was able to get it out, within 20 minutes. I really appreciate them for doing so, and not making me feel bad about it.

Shout out to Syracuse City DPW. Woke up to sewage coming through the basement drain. Called DPW and within 30 minutes the truck was here to plunge the outside pipe and open everything up. Thank you for your swift and professional service.
