We have just completed the purchase of our dream home in Monterrey through working with Eric and Stacy Stauffer at Sotheby's International Realty in Pacific Grove. We first encountered Eric at an open house that intrigued us and he immediately impressed us with his honest, direct, and friendly style. We readily decided to explore the possibility of working with him and met him and Stacy later that day in their office. They were clearly very knowledgeable about the market in the larger Monterrey Area from years of local experience. Throughout our search they were highly responsive and informative, providing objective insights into pros and cons with various properties we considered. They were patient as we examined various properties from Yankee Point to Monterrey, including Carmel, Carmel Valley, and Pacific Grove over a 5 month period. They actively sent us listings we might be interested in and showed us any property we wanted to see. Their experience was so broad that it seemed they had sold a property wherever we looked. We never felt any pressure from them to pursue any one property in particular. Rather they clearly worked to help us refine and then support our house purchase objectives.
Once we found the right property, Eric and Stacy were extremely helpful throughout the purchase process. They were supportive in the price negotiations and we never felt any pressure to settle overly quickly. Likewise, while working out the details of inspections and requesting the seller to repair or attend to a few things. They met us at the house multiple times to review items, initiated more thorough inspections, and even helped to attend to depleted batteries in detectors. They really pursued due diligence to ensure we were aware of all details in this house. As a result of their careful and expedient work, the escrow closed on time and without any hitches.
Over and beyond their professional competences, Eric and Stacy were really easy and enjoyable to work with. They were always appropriate, but casual in their interactions with us. As a result, it was easy for us to communicate nuances and uncertainties in this process. They have our highest recommendation.
