Seeing all the reviews show that there a big difference of opinion. there star ratting is way off balance.

My personal opinion is The Match Maker is fraud. The company is taking a vantage of are willing nest to find love now. Their approach with connecting at first is very welcoming and understanding. The fallow through to the matchmaker is a big disconnect of information.

I was insured that there plenty of clients in my area by Angela. Angel also Said that she would take My amtchmaking in her own hands, because I was such a great guy. She had few Ladies already in mind for matches, She even talked Me into expanding my search area. Which We agreed only to do after staying close to home first. this was not relayed and When I addressed it it was a conflict, No respect of My boundaries. Even after they called Me to confirm my limits of area that i Wanted to date in. The next call was the same distance that was discussed that I did not want to travel.

Megan was My first Matchmaker and She had spoke to Me in A VERY VERY unprofessional manner. Yet after addressing this with what seemed to be their customer service. They switch My Matchmaker Rebecca which had the problem with the distance area.

After all this I felt the Matchmaker was unprofessional and possible fraud. I had asked that Are contract to be canceled and relief of any debt owed forgiven.(part ways was best for both parties) The manner I had been spoke to, you would think alone should be enough for a company to say , We are sorry and We can part ways. After putting this in writing the company has not write or put anything in writing for a response, only by phone call by the person That had spoke to Me in a manner that was not ok. and Why Megan offered Me that she had talked to other in this manner and they the customers were unhappy with the way the were spoken to. She can and did try to spin this around and say it was the content of the material she was telling them upset the customer. I have personal experience Megan arrogant confidents and down grading way of talking to Me. As if she is untouchable. It was as if She was challenging Me to Say something. Megan Said" Many People Take this Conversation offensively"...

Was Customer service for 6 Years and had one unhappy Customer with Me. We offered them free stuff had someone else speak to them from there on out. I got none of this with Matchmaker. At all cost they want your Money is all they care about at the end of the day....

The one Star is only so I can post My feedback...

If it only took Me A 1.5 month to figure out how unethical your program was. If i Had actually read the contract in full and understood it, Would have never sign the contract, It is unethical contract. In order for a contract to hold in the court of law it has to be ethical for both parties.

In this case The company Should Have granted My cancelation and determined a pro rated price for what they thought was fare. which the company will not do. they rather hock you along as they can to claim they did their part according to the contract and Claiming that am not eligiible per the contract. The contract is unethical in the first place, with no guarantee.

Suggest reading the full contract before signing. Anything the advisor tells you can be a lye and under their unethical contract they covered that.

This doest mean everyone will have the same experience and might get lucky. My personal experience was not good in such a short time and thats what makes the contract unethical not to provide a cancelation....

It all about how well the matchmaker does and how much time they are willing to get to know you as a person. which this is were they were lacking. A questionnaire can be miss leading as it was in my case and it was coached a little by the advisor that filed it out.

I would give this service ZERO stars!
I paid a Few Thousand Dollars and Never Met Anyone. They didn't match me with ANY of my preferences. I was with them for over a year!!
IN RESPONSE to the Owner, I was matched with a guy that had been broken up with his previous match for only 3 Days. The next day he texted me that he was going back to her!
Match #2 lived in Marin and I asked for a local match and was told none were available. Match #3 called me then I called him back and didn't hear from him!
For match #4 I had been in an accident and had to put my membership on hold. I had also told Mika I didn't want to meet the person from Calistoga and I felt bullied by her to do so. The substitute match was not within any of my preference. He had a child, balding, short and lied about being a water polo couch at the SR JC. He sent me a pic.
I don't understand why you can't exchange pictures!? Single women are going to meet a stranger! Even if there is a background check it DOESN'T Mean they are Good or Safe People!! They are still strangers!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!
I WAS TREATED DISRESPECTFULLY BY THIS COMPANY!!

I had a disappointing experience with Sonoma Match. Since October 2023 I was presented with five matchmaking introductions, three of which I declined, and the two that I did meet did not pan out. No chemistry. To its credit, SM updated my profile to show my preferences in a prospective partner, but no bites that I can remember. A few months ago, I asked Mika to remove my profile because of the poor success I was having and the resulting tension of wanting to meet someone. My experience with Sonoma Match cost me $2,200.00 and nothing to show for it. I strongly recommend OurTime over Sonoma Match.

This process started slowly. Once Mica became my matchmaker, everything changed. I was out of the dating world for amount 20 years and things have changed immensely. I had to learn how to date again. Mica took the time to learn about me and was right next to me as I grew through this experience. She listened to my feedback and has applied it when finding a match. I do believe she wants to help us find the "one." She is genuine and understanding. I would recommend anyone to work with her as a matchmaker.

My experience with this agency has been extremely negative. During the first few months the employees presented invested and professional. I have to say that matches have not worked in part because some of my preferences have been ignored. Besides the deficient matching performance of the agency (which could improve with time) the personal treatment itself has been shockingly neglectful. Calls and communication started to decrease totally stopping. I have been trying to reach out and communicate for two months now and I have repeatedly talked to different people located in different states who promised they will send a message to their managers and get back to me as soon as possible (it hasn't happened). Several times I have asked to speak directly with a manager and my petitions has been rejected each time. Needless to say that I have asked for my money back in several occasions and that request has also been denied despite the fact that the agency is not delivering any services. It's been suggested by friends that I contact California consumers affairs and/or the district attorney's office which I've been reluctant to do because I always prefer to solve issues rather than make a bad experience last even longer.... I think my patience is about to reach it's limit specially after I called this morning and the person who answered appeared irritated when I explained that leaving messages has not worked. She told me "mam this is the first time I talk to you and I said someone will be calling you within two hours." Of course no one has called me and that is the reason why I am writing this review, to help others stay away from this scam.

Very disappointing experience overall. This is the first time in my life that I have ever written a negative review for any company. The staff and matchmakers seemed great and attentive in the very beginning and then over the course of the year, the customer service and quality of services declined in every way. The matches were increasingly inappropriate. One match was unemployed, another admitted to having a pill problem during our first phone conversation. Another admitted during the first 5 minutes of meeting to not knowing what he was looking for at this point in his life because he had just gotten out of a serious relationship. One match had 4 small children by 2 ex-wives and the matchmaker had not disclosed this to me ahead of time. Guess what, that match still counted as one of my 8. Two matches (who supposedly agreed to moving forward with meeting me) never called/made initial contact – and yet – Sonoma Matchmakers remained adamant that these counted as two of my 8 matches. When I called and left messages regarding concerns that these matches weren’t appropriate or hadn’t made contact after weeks of waiting and wondering, it took the staff days to return my calls and when they finally got back to me, I was told to wait another week for the matches to make contact because maybe those matches were just busy. If you do choose to move forward with this company, I highly recommend that you get it in writing that they will not count matches that do not ever make initial contact with you. When a staff member finally returned my final call regarding my concerns with the low quality of matches and poor service I’d been receiving, the supervisor I spoke with was rude - and had very well-rehearsed spiels for each of my concerns, making it obvious to me that I was only one of many who had voiced these same complaints. 100% waste of money. I have found much higher quality matches on online dating sites, and recently shut those down because I met the man of my dreams on Zoosk. Oh, and they offer to give you an additional match if you let them give themselves a 5 star review in your name- so take this into consideration when looking at their already low overall rating average.
