Josh and Tyler were awesome - were able to do both trolling and deep water fishing in just 4 hours. Super helpful, clean and safe boat. Caught four fish which they filleted for us. Will definitely be back next time we are in Kauai.

Great experience! Tyler and Josh were fantastic ! We started our 4 hr trip looking for Tuna, but no luck. Determined to get some fish, they almost went to bottom fishing. Got the gear out and then BAM! Mahi Mahi!! After that we got on some Wahoo (aka Ono)! Talk about a great time with my dad and son! First time in Kauai and first time fishing in the Pacific. Unlike many charters they shared a great portion of the fish caught. Josh and Tyler made sure we had a blast and dinner! Hope we go again sometime. Buy a cool shirt from their mom.

Talk about a family friendly excursion! Terry catered to the kids, ensuring they caught fish, got pictures and a lesson on the species. Terry switched up tactics when the bites slowed, answered the hundreds of questions the kids had and really made it a trip to remember. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to fish with this outfit.

UPDATE November 2023: Went fishing with Josh and Tyler for the 3rd time over Thanksgiving weekend. Like always, they put me on the fish - right on top of them this time, as we were strictly bottom fishing. I fished a knife jig on my own rig, while Josh dropped some fresh cut bait. My first bite was a beautiful Ulua (Giant Trevally for the mainlanders) which was on my "must catch" list for this trip. Also hooked up with several grey snappers, and took home filets from one of those. Per captain recommendations, battered in panko bread crumbs and fried -incredible! My body hurt from pulling up so many quality fish! No question - Will definitely book again.
July 2022: Went out with the boys, Josh and Tyler, on a 4 hour charter Thursday morning. What a great experience! Weather had been snotty the previous couple of days so I was lucky to get out. Started slow with half a dozen or so small aku. Brought my own smaller set up and Josh handed me a small squid troller that I hand held for those. Super fun. About 3 hours in we got the first ahi - around 35-40 pounds. I extended for another two hours since they didn’t have any bookings after me and then the bite turned on. Finished with 7 ahi in the 35-55 pound range and a handful of aku topping out around 18 pounds. Super fun day and even learned about how they incorporate ancient Hawaiian fishing techniques into their fishing today. Just the coolest thing. Josh filleted 1/4 of the first ahi we pulled up, which was a very generous piece of meat, and fulfilled a special request for the collar. Top notch service and truly Hawaiian style fishing.

My family and I spent half the day fishing with Terry. Everything about our trip was ideal. Terry was great fun and an awesome fisherman. He knew exactly where to go and what to do. We caught 12+ fish. Aku tuna and amberjack. He gave us enough fish fillets for three dinners for 11 people.

Terry and Dylan are the best. This is hands down the best charter we have had in a long time. We got 28 fish and four different species on our trip. These guys are patient, skilled, funny, and professional. We were targeting Mahi and caught them. We also got Wahoo, Yellowfin, and Skipjack. This outfit couldn’t come with a higher recommendation! Simply put, AMAZING and a “must do” if you want to fish Kauai.

We had an amazing experience fishing with Josh and Tyler. They worked hard to put us on the fish, starting with catching live bait which the big fish were all over. We did a mix of trolling and bottom fishing which landed us rainbow runners, amber jacks and a yellowfin tuna. They are great company and at the end, sent us home with 10 lbs of fresh fish to eat for the rest of our stay here.

Fished with Captain Terry on Hawaiian Style Fishing for my bachelor party two weeks ago. Waters were rough but Captain Terry is such an experienced operator that it wasn’t even a problem. Hooked up to three yellowfin, six aku, and two kawakawa. Had an amazing trip. Plenty of action throughout the four hour charter. Plus Terry is a great guy and had plenty of stories and other stuff to talk about. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be coming back again.
