Officeworks South Melbourne

This store has low customer service skills and takes no responsibility on their products. Their STORE manager refused to come out and talk to me and sent the junior staff to deal with the matter, after I asked to talk to them directly. They may have many products in this store, but service is very low.

I came in a few weeks ago and was served by someone named George and he was amazing. The store was busy but he took his time to help me and help print what I needed for my wedding. Even when I got home and the order wasn’t completed, he took the time to re-serve me and make sure I had what I needed!! I’m appreciative of the time he spent helping me, and for telling me to have a great wedding.

Good place to come & buy school supplies, recently bought an iPhone 13 from here & I absolutely love it, I also love how they sell same quality items but cheaper, the customer service is nice however the parking isn’t that great especially since it’s on a busy road in a bad place, i do however recommend if going to an Officeworks go to one in a better area especially if you’re buying something expensive they make the price’s lower then other shops.

I bought four cardboard boxes and two rolls of tape at this store, and their employee Claudia charged me $183.66. Her significant mistake forced me to return to the store twice for a refund. Today, it was raining heavily and there was serious traffic congestion, so going back to the store twice wasted an entire hour and a half of my time! The refund system at this store is extremely problematic, and the employee made such a basic error that caused great inconvenience to the customer. As a customer, I am extremely angry!

I came here last Sunday and saw there were some recalls stuck on the window. I asked the staff at the counter some questions and they tried to help, but eventually needed the help of a manager. The manager REFUSED TO COME OUT TO HELP. Saying he/she was TOO BUSY DOING OTHER THINGS. Too busy to help customers. The customer service manager was too busy to help customers. ? And after reading other reviews, I am wondering what the head office is doing about this.

This store is a disaster. I needed copying done for work, quite a bit but halfway through the job they said I had to use the self-service machines as they only had one copy machine working and they couldn’t accommodate my printing. Which is fine. But the self-service machines are a punish. They don’t accept card payment so a copy card needs to be purchased but only $150 can be added at a time. The staff don’t help with tallying up the amount needed for self-copying, they just didn’t know. The machines have a USB-C port but they can’t read USB-C drives only USB-A drives. They don’t staple and are super slow and colour printing is beyond average. One guy there, Cam was completely useless, didn’t know the difference in drives, told me I was too short to properly see the barcode scan on the machine and just an all round unhelpful person. Train your staff Officeworks and moving into the 21st century, your technology is sub-par.

I had to do a rush print of business cards the morning before a big event, and the staff member helping me with this was absolutely amazing! So patient, accommodating, and personable. Thanks heaps!

Thank you, Quinn and Store Manager Cam, for your exceptional service in spending 10 minutes arguing with a customer instead of taking 5 minutes to do your job. It seems Officeworks values paying you to argue rather than spending 2 minutes printing the requested job.
