My goodness. What a night, what a place. Tony from The Backlot Studios was incredibly kind, present and helpful through to whole process of putting on our short film pre screening. They’re a true supporter of the independent film scene in Melbourne, making this top notch space available at a fantastic rate. Our guests had an incredible night, we’re truly thankful to the guys at Backlot for making such a memorable evening possible.

Couldn't be happier having the cast and crew screening of our short film at Backlot studios. Tony is such a great host and did everything in his power to make it a memorable night and ensure it all ran smoothly. We'll definitely be back in future. I heartily recommend it as a venue for filmmakers and small film festivals - the prices are also incredibly reasonable.

Tony, the host, is an absolute superstar, A-Grade, 5-Star service, arguably the best screening venue I've ever had the pleasure of participating in! Highly recommend. A phenomenal venue with an incredibly generous and facilitating host. We hosted a screening night for our short film, and the evening couldn't have gone any better. Great value for not only us, but our guests too with the space being absolutely perfect for screenings and presentations. Tony was brilliant!

Had a great experience at Backlot last night. The whole service from start to finish we had with Tony was perfect. I screened a short doco and was able to go down the day before test it all make sure it worked and then on the screening night Tony was a great host behind the bar with all of my guests. Highly recommend.

The most perfect venue for our short film screening. Tony is so accommodating, the venue hire is incredible value, the bar was so great, and of course the cinema was perfect for our event. I’ll be recommending this place to everyone! Thank you again Tony!
